Our newest additions  include a Rife Ram, Heavy Hitter, that we feel will add some frame and style to our ewes.  Everyone who has come in the barn and seen him has been impressed.  He will be used on all the old ewes and all of the Marmaduke ewe lambs this year. 

 

Our second addition is the champion shropshsire ram at Sedalia.  Ted Greiner and the Daniels family allowed us to buy part interest in this really well muscled and rumped ram.  We have taken 10 ewes to Iowa in July to be bred.  We are convinced not only will he help our wether sales but can add muscle to any sheep.

 

MARMADUKE (RIFE)

This is the ram we purchased at the Shropshire Spectacular thanks to the Averys.  He is very stylish and has a fantastic profile.  His daughters are very upright and stylish.  A couple of his sons have done well in wether shows.  Marmaduke will be used sparingly this fall due to the purchase of new rams.

 

SHOW PONY (COLE FARMS)

After using this Cole Farms Ram for four seasons, and after breeding last fall, we sold Show Pony to Randy Rife.  He still puts a very level top and square loin in his lambs.  We reached the point most of our ewes were too closely related.  We do have a number of lambs on the ground this spring and as usual are very happy with them. We will be keeping almost all of his daughters. Randy sold two of his daughters at Sedalia.
